I retired from practising medicine a while ago, and not long after, my daughter started preparing for her nursing exam. I started writing pharmacology questions for her at the kitchen table, mostly because it was something useful to do with thirty years of clinical knowledge that had suddenly stopped having anywhere to go.

She passed. The questions sat on my hard drive for months afterwards. It felt wrong to leave them there, so I have put them online properly, and they are free.

The reason I wrote them in the first place: the decks and banks we bought for her were decent reference material, well organized and accurate, but she was never actually asked to make a decision. Not one of them had a case study on it. The exam is built on case studies now, so the practice should be too. Many of the 270 questions here put you in the scenario with the vitals and labs and ask what you would do.

The wrong answers are meant to be tempting, because ranking four plausible actions is the skill the exam tests. If you find an item you think is wrong, say so. A question that teaches the wrong thing is worse than no question.
